Charlie Chalmers (1901) married Ruth McDaniel and had a son named Charlie Chalmers,"Charlie Boy", Who lives in Ridgedale, Missouri.. (we site- www.charliechalmers.com) "Charlie Boy" Chalmers confirmed, through conversations with his father, a General James R. Chalmers(1831), under the command of General Nathan Bedford Forrest lived in Holy Springs, MS, had the same great grandfather as J.D Chalmers(1835) and his name was Hugh Chalmers.(their grandfathers were brothers) "Charlie Boy" stated that James R. Chalmers lead northern soldiers that were prisoners from Mississipppi acrooss Tennessee into Kentucky during the Civil War. (Phone call made to "Charlie Boy" Chalmers March 8, 2005)

This information was further confirmed by Hugh "Buster" Chalmers(1907) and Hugh B Chalmers(1934) through conversations with his father and Hugh B. Chalmers,Jr.(1958) his grandson. He was told that when the family reached Spartinsburg, SC half the family went north and half the family went south-west. When they arrived in Holly Springs, MS there were 3 boys and 1 girl. In the family was a man who later became a General in the Confederate Army.(The history of General James R. Chalmers(1831) shows he attended college in Spartansburg, SC and later received a law degree just as his father Senator Joseph W. Chalmers(1807)did when he was in Halifax, Va.). J.D. Chalmers(1835) married Sallie F. Rodgers from SC.

Hugh "Buster" Chalmers(1907) married Wilma Burnett(1908) of Wynne, AR and they had two Children, Hugh Burnett Chalmers (1934) and Betty Katheryn Chalmers Peyton (1936).

Hugh B. Chalmers(1934) married Janelle Brower(1936) in January 1958. Hugh B. Chalmers(19340 had three children named Hugh B. Chalmers ,Jr.(1958) Janis Janelle Chalmers(1960) and Leslie KatherineChalmers(1962). Hugh Chalmers,Jr(1907) (1934) (1958) all owned a new car dealership in West Memphis, AR an ran from 1945-1996. Hugh B. Chalmers, Jr. (1958) married Melinda Montesi Chalmers(1954) and had two girls, Emily Letitia(1992), named after her grandmother Montesi, and Lucia Louise(1994), named after her mothers grandmother. Janis Janelle Chalmers married Greg Stephens( ) from Conway and had two girls, Katherine Corrine Stephens,named after her mothers grandmother (1990) and Rachel Janelle Stephens(1992) named after her grandmother. Leslie Kathryn Chalmers (1962) married George Canale Tagg fromMemphis, TN who died in 2002 and married Dr. Sam Jones Cox III from Memphis, TN.

Vance Chalmers(1921) daughter of Hugh Chalmers(1876) and Ardine Hayes Chalmers(1878) married Renfro Turner from Earle Arkansas who lived there since he was 3 years old. After High School, he went to Marion Institute ine Marion Al. for 6 months. He then went to the Naval Acadamy. Hegraduated in 1936. They moved to Norfork Va. and in WWII he was sent out of the country to the Pacific Ocean. Vance lived in Paloalto , Calif.with two children;Angela(1942) and Elise(1944). They moved to Brmerton, Washington. Then they moved to Millington, TN and stayed there 3 years and had three more children. Vance(1946), Margaret (1947) "Meg", Renfro III(1949). Elise died of spinal meningitis at the age of 3 1/2 in 1948. Her illness lasted 2 days. She is buried in Momorial Park ,Memphis, TN. The familythen moved to Norfork, VA. Thenthey moved to Whidbey Island,Washington at the Naval Air Station where they lived for two years and had Chalmers(1953). Then they moved to Newport, Rhode Island where theylived for 3 years. Then they moved to Honolulu, Hawaii and lived for two years where Ford III(1958) was born. Then they moved to Alexandria VA and Vance, the mother was 38 years old. Then they moved to Jacksonville, FL, and livedfor one half years and moved back to Whidbey Island, Washington where Sarah(1963) was born. Renfro Jr. and Vance settled in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1964 where he retired in 1966. Renfro TurnerII died December 2000.

Angela lives in Greebuilt, Maryland and married Dave Evans. They have 1 child Jeff Morris
Vance lives in Driggs, Idaho
Meg lives in North Fort Myers, FL and married Jim LaRue. They have 3 children Scott, Brian, and Jenny
Renfro III lives in Colodado Springs, Colorado and married Becky Hinsey. They have two children (girls) Lisa and Maggie.
Chalmers lives in Denver, Colorado and married Frieda Pfahl. They have two children Kate and Noah.
Ford lives in Austin TX and married Linda Roark.
Sarah lives in LasAnimas, Coloradoand married Joseph Frausto. They have three children Elijah, Lucas, and Phoebe.
